A collection of experiments that felt worth sharing.
The Cookbook
Oliver's World FamousHot Sauces
Volume 1: Fermented & Fruity Superhots
This first volume is built around superhot peppers, with fermented and fruity sauces throughout, and a few fresh sauces sprinkled in. Most of these recipes started as notes I was keeping for myself, long before I had any intention of turning them into a book. Eventually I realized I had enough worth documenting and sharing. It's a practical collection for home sauce makers who like experimenting without taking any of it too seriously.

Reapers, ghost peppers, scorpion peppers, and more.
Fermented sauces, fruit-forward sauces, and a few fresh ones.
Made, changed, broken, fixed, and documented at home.
What's Inside
Built from actual batches, not hypothetical sauce.
This book came from time in the kitchen making sauce, changing things, breaking things, and figuring out what was worth making again. The goal was simple: document the recipes and process clearly enough that someone else could make them too.
- Fermented hot sauce recipes
- Fruity and pepper-forward sauces
- Fermentation process and practical tips
- Equipment and supplies
- Safety and pH guidance
- Quick sauces and bonus recipes

Peppers Featured in Volume 1
A pretty wide range of chiles.
From everyday favorites to peppers that require a little more commitment, Volume 1 uses a pretty wide range of chiles. Some are there for heat, some for flavor, and some because they showed up in a big mixed box and I figured I should do something with them.

The Point of the Book
Make something you actually want to eat.
Heat matters, but flavor matters more. The fun part is figuring out how peppers, fruit, fermentation, sweetness, acidity, and texture come together in a finished bottle.
Some batches are clean and planned. Some start with whatever peppers happen to be on the counter. Both can turn into something worth making again.
Who It's For
People who want to make sauce, not study for a sauce exam.
First-Time Fermenters
Enough process and guidance to get started without pretending there's only one correct way to make hot sauce.
Experimenters
People who immediately read a recipe and start wondering what happens if they swap the fruit, pepper, or vinegar.
Pepper People
Anyone who likes exploring what reapers, ghost peppers, scorpions, and other superhots can do beyond simply making something hotter.
